FairVote is a 501(c)(3), nonpartisan organization that is able to receive tax-deductible donations. We are funded by individuals and foundations from across the political spectrum. Our largest donors in recent years have been the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Arnold Ventures, Unite America, the Kaphan Foundation, and Democracy Fund. This work would not be possible without the collective impact of all of our donors who helped make ranked choice voting the fastest growing electoral reform in the country.
While FairVote donations are fully tax-deductible, FairVote Action donations are not but they go entirely toward helping us win change in cities, states, and Congress. If you’re able to donate to either or both groups, we are incredibly grateful. If you do prefer to donate to FairVote Action, you can do so here.

Audits and 990 Forms
Every year, FairVote has its financial books audited by an independent firm. In addition, we file a “Form 990” with the Internal Revenue Service, as required of all 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Our audits and Forms 990 extensively describe our financial revenues and expenses. Here are links to our recent audits and the main pages of our Forms 990. We have received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
