Staff Attorney

Delaney Barker serves as the Staff Attorney at FairVote. She provides legal analysis, drafts and reviews legislation, analyzes state and local laws and regulations, and responds to requests from FairVote colleagues and from movement partners.

Before joining FairVote, Delaney was an Equal Justice Works fellow at the ACLU of Michigan, where her project focused on providing legal representation and advocacy for Michigan’s low-income and minority voters to access absentee or in-person ballots without intimidation and tactics intended to subvert election results.

Delaney holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was a student attorney at the Election Law Clinic and externed with Protect Democracy. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Kenyon College.
