Jake is joining the FairVote team as a research intern for the fall as he completes their final semester at American University. At AU, Jake is majoring in Data Science for Political Science with a certificate in the Lincoln Scholars program of Political Philosophy and a certificate in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership.
He has been a fan of FairVote since 2016 when they discovered RCV during a speech and debate competition. In high school, he won the New York State Championship for Varsity Extemporaneous speech amongst several other strong national placements.
Outside of FairVote, Jake is an avid rock climber and can be found climbing around the DC area! They also play on the American University ultimate frisbee team, coached by FairVote’s own Development Data & Outreach Manager Brandon Lamberty. Be sure to look out for Jake on the National Mall, either playing ultimate near the monument or climbing the side of it!
