On Thursday, June 5, former President Bill Clinton praised New York City’s use of ranked choice voting (RCV) during an appearance on ABC’s The View

The 42nd president discussed his thoughts on America’s future, and lifted up ranked choice voting as a way to empower voters. Clinton highlighted RCV’s use in the upcoming New York City primaries and described it as “much more sensible,” explaining how it gives greater voice to voters.

Bill Clinton joins Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and John McCain as former presidents and major-party presidential candidates who have expressed support for ranked choice voting.

RCV is one of the fastest-growing nonpartisan election reforms in the country, and it’s no surprise leaders from both sides of the aisle recognize RCV as a sensible way to improve our elections.
